FOOD & DRINK
SIMPLE EATS: We enjoy the simpler things in life such as conversation and connection so we have built our menu around very tasty simple offerings that you and a friend can afford. Mince on toast on a winters day with a good friend….
It was an old man sitting in a coffee field in Araku Valley, India that kickstarted the Sozo initiative here in Auckland. Since that moment we have been pursuing the perfect coffee beginning with specialty beans roasted onsite…..
It started in Invercargill when my wife and I made the decision to pack up the kids and head to India to, hopefully, make a difference in some lives. Who would have thought it would lead to a coffee house in Glen Eden, Auckland??
Are we hard to find? Only if you’re not local… 1B Shetland Street, Glen Eden surrounded by 6 great schools, the wonderful suburbs of Konini, Kaurilands, Oratia and Glen Eden. Check us out https://www.facebook.com/sozocoffeenz/
More than a Coffee House, even more than great coffee, we desire to be a real community so we have gatherings such as movie nights, dinners, coffee cuppings and we even have a trip to our India children’s home coming up. Stay up to date…
Its all up for grabs, great fresh roasted coffee bagged and posted to your front door. We are also working towards providing products that come from people trying to overcome poverty, slavery, and other adverse conditions… watch this space
If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.
When you start with a portrait and search for a pure form, a clear volume, through successive eliminations, you arrive inevitably at the egg. Likewise, starting with the egg and following the same process in reverse, one finishes with the portrait.
If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
We have partnered with Give Hope to continue to provide the ongoing love and care of the children in the Tegalamadi village, India. Sozo Coffee Shop provides funding to this initiative.
Our family lived in India for a year and helped kick off the build of the first home on the Tegalamadi site and we continue to passionately support this cause through the sale of coffee. WoW, your coffee works long after you have enjoyed.
